Judy Nunno, AWS, NWS, TWSA

Judy Nunno is a lifelong South Floridian who graduated from the University of Florida and now lives in Weston.  She is a realistic watercolor painter who began developing her artistic skills after raising her children and early retirement from her business career.  In 2006 Judy took a few watercolor classes at a community center, and watercolor quickly became her favorite medium with its fluid strokes and luminous colors.  Judy paints the things she loves including crystal, glass, fruit, and people.   Her paintings of crystal figurines combined with food and other organic objects have been described as realistic fantasies with a sense of humor.   Her paintings and portraits can be found in homes and businesses in the United States and Canada. 

Judy is a signature member of American Watercolor Society, National Watercolor Society, Transparent Watercolor Society of America, Florida Watercolor Society, Southern Watercolor Society, Gold Coast Watercolor Society and Palm Beach Watercolor Society, and a member of several other art organizations.  She was a two-time winner in Watercolor Artist magazine's Annual Watermedia Showcase Competition and one of her crystal paintings was named by Watercolor Artist as one of the top 34 watermedia paintings of 2013.  Judy's paintings have been selected for publication in Splash 16: Exploring Textures, Splash 17: Inspiring Subjects, Splash 18: Value Celebrating Light and Dark, Splash 19: Illusion of Light, Splash 21: Capturing Mood, Splash 22: The Creative Spark, and Splash 23: The Best of Watercolor, Splash 24: The Best of Watercolor., and Splash 25: The Best of Watercolor.  Her 5-page instructional article "Not Your Grandma's Florals" was published in the April 2015 issue of Watercolor Artist magazine.  A 10-page article called "Sweet Spot" in the Fall 2022 issue of Watercolor Artist features her candy paintings.
